IS militants carried out four attacks on a single day in Kabul, killing a total of four people, including two police officers. Four were injured.
A spokesman for the Afghan government said that there were four attacks at different places in Kabul. The series of attacks comes ahead of a renewed meeting between the Afghan government and the Taliban next week.

A former military officer was injured in the attack. Claims of two attacks were also made, but neither the government nor the police released an official statement.
The IS attacks were carried out before the Afghan government and the Taliban could hold peace talks in Qatar. The Afghan government did not issue a statement on peace talks after a series of attacks in order to disrupt peace talks in January 2019.
