China will supply 500,000 doses of the Corona vaccine to Pakistan by 31 January. Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in a video message sent after a phone call with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that Beijing had asked Pakistan to send an aircraft for vaccination.

The first batch of vaccines will be given to Pakistan for free, symbolizing China’s goodwill and friendship towards Pakistan. The cyanoform vaccine sent by China has been approved by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan. Pakistan will need 1.1 million doses, which China will supply by the end of February.

A vaccine trial being developed by a Pakistani company called Cansino Biologics is being conducted in Pakistan in collaboration with China. Pakistan has also approved the Oxford Asgazeka vaccine for use in emergency situations. However, it is not known when it will be found. In the last 24 hours, 2363 new cases of corona have been reported in Pakistan, while 54 deaths have been reported, the Ministry of National Health Services said.
