Governor Rick Scott’s campaign is out with its latest ad in the effort to further define Senator Bill Nelson. The commercial continues the theme of Nelson’s 46-year career in politics.
Scott’s ad references a new ad funded by Senate Majority PAC, a political committee backing Democratic candidates. Senate Majority is spending $2.2 million on the commercial airing across Florida. The Nelson-supporting commercial attacks Scott’s time as CEO of Columbia HCA and his record as governor. Nelson has not yet aired TV commercials directly from his campaign. His campaign has released two digital ads, including a Spanish-language ad distributed last week after criticism from Democratic Hispanic groups that didn’t feel Nelson was engaging with them.
Scott’s latest commercial follows last week’s “Pinto” ad which was critical of Nelson’s nearly five decade political career. This Scott commercial will air on television and online.
