Governor Scott receives sheriffs endorsement

Showing that keeping Floridians safe is a non-partisan issue, fifty-five of Florida’s 67 sheriffs – including nine Democrats – endorsed Rick Scott Monday for the United States Senate. The sheriffs credited Governor Scott for helping lead Florida to a 47-year low in the reported crime rate and for his willingness to work with law enforcement to tackle crime problems facing Florida. It’s a stunning rebuke of Senator Bill Nelson, who is running for his fourth term in the Senate after spending eight years as Florida’s elected insurance commissioner.
